We feel that as a result of working within a large International Law Firm we understand our clients' demands and work with them as part of a team to ensure that they, and their clients, receive the best possible service.

Having worked in the field of legal costs since 1988, our Director has gained significant experience in various legal sectors, including commercial litigation, Re-Insurance, shipping (wet and dry), aerospace, construction, commodities. Our experience ranges from disputes in the High/County Courts of England and Wales, Hong Kong and arbitration, based in London and Internationally. Our work has included, S.I.A.C., I.C.C., L.O.F., L.C.I.A., L.M.A.A., FOSFA, GAFTA and RSA. Other jurisdictions include Isle of Mann, Geneva, Sweden and D.I.F.C.

Due to our experience, we can offer our clients a service that starts with the receipt of initial instructions with the preparation of costs estimates/budgets for clients and advice on retainers and fee arrangements. This alone can be beneficial to our clients as it ensures that they comply fully with the professional obligations under the Solicitors Regulatory Authority.

We also offer the usual range of costs services such as estimates, preparation of Precedent H budgets (including negotiating the same with opponents, drafting discussion reports and attending Case Management hearings), detailed assessment work (bills of costs, Points of Dispute, Replies and attendance at the detailed hearing); summary assessment and schedules of costs.

As we have said, we operate with our clients as part of the team and to that extent assist in the drafting of submissions (before the Court and Arbitral venues) as to the appropriate form of costs order and the making of applications for payments on account of costs as well as security for costs issues.

One of the increasing issues in litigation is that of third party funding. We are able to offer advise in relation to part of the legal landscape as well as being able to assist in applications to potential funders.

Our Director is also an accredited Mediator and can offer this as a service to assist parties settle their disputes without the need for pursuing matters to Court.
